in the trade scenarios, i always see AL, Millsap and Harris for other teams craps(Millsap isn't crap' i like him)
But if we give Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter or Alec burks, i think we can take better players.

For Example

Derrick Favors + Alec Burks + Gs pick for Dwight Howard.

Dwight Howard
Al Jefferson
Paul Millsap
Hayward
Harris

imo it's one of the best starting 5 in entire league and dwight can defend al jefferson's defender. By the way enes can develop too much because he's got a chance to play with the best center of the world.(now)

I wouldn't give up Favors for Howard. I think Favors could be a more complete player. Howard is grumpy, a cancer, and slightly overrated.
With that said he is a talent, and would be a solid cornerstone. I'm still much more on the Favors bandwagon. I think Favors will be happier here in Utah in the future than most all stars we could trade him for.

I know that was just an example. I would listen to any offers, and no one would be untouchable. That is how we got Favors in the first place.
Bold move trading our best player. I really like our young pieces though. I seriously doubt we would get back enough for something like Favors, Burks,
and the GS pick. Those are really good pieces. Honesty I would only take someone like Lebron or Durant for all that. We know that's not happening.
I don't see any other players I'd want outside of the top 1-2-3.

Howard would have to sign at least a 3-year contract extension before I'd even consider that trade.

You're off to a bad start.

Welcome to Jazzfanz! I hope you can turn things around and become a valuable poster some day.

Really? Howard is the most dominant player there is in the NBA. This guy has the advantage every night he steps on the floor. I could only imagine if Orlando actually gave him the ball more. His defense is second to none. If I'm picking a player I probably go with Dwight because of the impact he has on both ends of the court. Definitely not overrated.

I love the fact that the most dominant player can only score about 20 points a game. So dominant.

Yea, I would rather keep our young players and try to add more pieces through the draft and FA's. Do you think Howard is going to get more touches with both Millsap and AJ demanding the ball?

If you look at my post I said, I could only imagine if Orlando actually gave him the ball more. This is why he doesn't average more points. The Magic players would rather shoot 30 threes a game than give to Dwight.

The 21st century. Don't take accountability for your actions or in Dwight's case, his inaction. Dude hasn't gotten one iota better in the last four or five years.

are there really people here who think that favors > howard? wow.

not that i'd do the trade. but my reason for NOT doing the trade is because we'll get 82 games out of howard versus another two seasons of favors, another three seasons of burks, four seasons of the GS pick, plus then we'll have their RFA rights and an inside lane on keeping any of them past that.

I agree.

But it's not insane to think that Favors could end up better than Howard.

i think if derrick lives up to his absolute best-case ceiling, you'd be looking at a player similar to howard's stature, but maybe with a little of amare/horford's game mixed in.

that said, this is the same board that constantly blasts the jazz for being conservative on trades, but then scoffs at the idea of trading three unproven assets for an all-NBA first team asset?? the logic just evades me sometimes, that's all. it's like everybody wants the jazz to wind up with a superstar, but they aren't ok with giving up any of the players they like for it to happen.
