Well it all depends on if Millsap is wanting a 10 million dollar contract. So that might be a reason why the Jazz are considering trading Millsap. Another reason is that they are trying to free up time for Favors and there is a need at SF since most people think Hayward is SG.
Just for the record, basketball is a team game so one individual player doesn't bring a championship as most media people believe. if I remember one of your reasons for not liking MKG was that you do not believe MKG can lead a team to a championship. I agree but I agree that even most superstars who lead their teams to championship need other great players and a good supporting cast. It is a weak argument.
You compare him to Ronnie Brewer because they are basically the same size but Brewer never had the "it" factor that MKG seems to have (still needs to prove it in the NBA). Ronnie never demonstrated leadership when he was with the Jazz. I think MKG is a better dribbler than Brewer and a better rebounder. Both have imperfect jump shots, but Brewer's is more severe due to his childhood injury. The other thing people sometimes forget is that MKG is only 18-19 years old. He was a young freshman. So the idea that he isn't going to improve seems shortsighted considering his youth and known work ethic.
I am not saying that I would trade Millsap for him. I would have to know what Millsap's mindset is. I would have to know how ready Favors is. Is Millsap willing to come off the bench to help the team? I understand that some times you have to gamble and trade a talented player to get another talented player (J. Malone for Hornacek) so I would probably do it considering how young our core players are. I would rather trade Harris or AJ but I doubt those players would get it done. I like Burks a lot but I would probably include him with Harris or AJ to get MKG however that probably wouldn't be enough. It doesn't really matter because if Beal goes second MKG might not be there at 5.
