I know this is way early but I wanted to talk about our potential roster and rotation.

We now have the below players under contract for next season.

1. Marvin Williams
2. Mo Williams
3. Bell
4. Burks
5. Hayward
6. Favors
7. Kanter
8. Millsap
9. Jefferson
10. Watson
11. Carroll
12. Evans
13. Tinsley

I think Murphy will shortly be signed so

14. Murphy

The preliminary depth chart looks like this:

Mo Williams/Watson/Tinsley
Hayward/Burks/Bell/Murphy
Marvin Williams/Hayward/Burks/Carroll
Millsap/Favors/Evans
Jefferson/Favors/Kanter


I think we will have mostly a 9 man rotation

Mo Williams 32/Watson 16
Hayward 24/Burks 24
Ma. Williams 32/Hayward 8/Millsap 8
Millsap 24/Favors 24
Jefferson 32/Favors 4/ Kanter 12

updated to reflect Carroll's, Tinsley's and Evan's contracts.

Updated to show Marvin Williams/Mo Williams Trade

Hmm I don't see much of a spot for Bell on this team. If we amnesty him, then we could try and sign another shooter. Though based on past Jazz experience I think we are going to stand pat. Two trades is a lot for the Jazz in one offseason.

I don't think there is any way Bell is on the team. And picking up the option on Tinsley gives us 4 point guards under contract. Something's got to give.
 
K here we go......

start with

Mo
Harris
Burks
Hayward
Jefferson

Play inside out keep away ball. Throw it in to Al for easy bucket, throw out to three point shooter.

Run that for 8 min or so.

then......

Put in this crew

Tinsley
Hayward
Evans
Millsap
Favors

Run that til the end of the half.

then.....

start the 2nd half off with

Mo
Hayward
Burks
Kanter
Favors

Run that for 7 min

then put in

Hayward
Murphy
Evans
Millsap
Favors

Run that til the end of the 3rd quarter.

Start the 4th quarter off with...

Millsap
Evans
Favors
Kanter
Jefferson

run that til the 8 min mark

Then come at them with this til the end of the game

Hayward
Burks
Carroll
Millsap
Jefferson.


That's a sure fire formula

With all the optimism around Williams/Williams, I'm still not liking Jefferson or Millsap starting ahead of Favors in the coming season.

Either one of Jefferson/Millsap has to go or one has to be content with coming off the bench.

BUT Favors has to START.
