Debating about re-adding the commentary and news sections back to the site. Anyone have interest in writing an opinion piece of about 200-500 words every week or two (summer would be lighter after the FA period)? Is there someone that does this already that we should invite?

At this point, the position would come with a Premium Membership but nothing additional.

Let me know.
 
I'd be interested. I know I'm kind of new here, but I think it would be fun.

My resume:

HUGE Jazz fan - I was a season ticket holder for two years, until I needed to go out of state for my education.

Double Majoring in Literature and Philosophy (I'm going into my senior year - even though I am an old man). This doesn't mean I'm perfect in grammar, but I can tell a story.

Also, I may be able to add an interesting perspective being a Roman Catholic Seminarian for the Diocese of Salt Lake City.

Finally, 200 - 500 words every week/two weeks is not that much of a committment.

I'm interested in this. I'm a huge Jazz and NBA fan and have opinions. I also enjoy writing. I'd also like to put in a good word for Enes. He seems like he can be a great sweeper.
 
Well, two takers means each of you have something every other week at a minimum. I was hoping for something three times a week in the beginning across multiple people.

Based on this, I was planning to skip it. If you want to do it in posts first and see how it goes, I'd be open to that. If it works, I'll see if we can secure rights to photos and then make it a separate section. Thoughts? I'll make you Premium after your first post.
 
I'd suggest posting this offer in the main Utah jazz section, so maybe other posters can come across it. I personally would LOVE vslice to do it, if he had the time.
 
How about a comedy section? I could put together a team of comedians to write funny stuff.
