What's new

I want my MTV

So you would prefer Direct TV pay content providers whatever they ask for and pass the savings on to you?

Dish dropped AMC to so walking dead for me :( I also missed the first few weeks of SoA last year when they dropped FX. It's getting stupid, I chose a service and picked the package that had all the channels with the shows I watch, and they keep changing **** up on me. I didn't sign up for this.

Ooohh but you did. Read your agreement again.. :)

Greedy ******** all around.

Although from what I can tell Viacom is just trying to get Directv to pay what all the other companies are paying them and trying to get a raise on the contract that was signed 7 years ago. They are asking for an amount that is 20% of the fee increase that Directv has charged its customers.

If you do have Directv definitely call them and complain/threaten to quit so you can get money off your bill, some free premium channels for 6 months and other stuff.

Easily knocked out about 20% of the channels I have my guide set to. Biggest loss? This guy:

How am I supposed to fall asleep without my nightly Doug episodes?

I did get some money cuts and some free movie channels though in my faux fit of rage at DirectTV service people.

this is why I have DirecTV - they are the only providers that you can haggle with. If you tell them you're unhappy they'll cut you a deal.

You can also haggle with Comcast. I've done for over 3 years, just act like you are really going to cancel. They have no contract deals ;D
