One doctor is calling for the end to the “war on pubic hair.”

Family physician Emily Gibson made headlines recently for her public assertion that modern women should shy away from the practice of bikini waxing – which she referred to as the “war on pubic hair” – as the practice increases risk of various infections.

“The amount of time, energy, money and emotion both genders spend on abolishing hair from their genitals is astronomical,” said Gibson in an article on KevinMD.com. “The genital hair removal industry, including medical professionals who advertise their specialty services to those seeking the ‘clean and bare’ look, is exponentially growing.”

Astronomical? Really Emily? I pay $75 every two weeks for my braziliman wax. Hardly what I'd call "astronomical."

I don't like pubic hair at all. This is one war worth fighting, infections be damned!

I have to admit, if I discovered an attractive girl had plenty of hair, it would probably stir me in a good way. We've just come to expect the industry standard. More diversity is half the fun.

I'll duck now...

A woman in Seattle wants to put an end to pubes? Shocking. That said, as a child of the 70's, I don't mind a little carpet at the front door.

And Americans spend $2.1 billion on it? I am in the wrong business.
