Legitimate rapes don't cause pregnancies?

So nobody made the connection between the party's name and teabagging? Anyways, so what if it's derogatory? **** those teabaggers and their teabagging mouths. Everyone cries for respect, but very few deserve it. Democrats, Republicans, socialists, libertarians, whatever, can all suck it.

I though Pikachu was all about love and loyalty. I guess the smarter they get the more they lose it. Ash wouldn't even know who you are anymore!

I have no idea what you're talking about...

From what I gathered, those that made that initial sign had no idea of its double entendre. The use of the tea bag was a rallying force at the beginning of the movement. Using "tea bag" as a verb opened up the flood gates.

Where was the info "gathered?"

In any case they may have teabagged with actual tea bags but they never referred to themselves as "teabaggers."

More specifically:

The first big day for this movement was Tax Day, April 15. And organizers had a gimmick. They asked people to send a tea bag to the Oval Office. One of the exhortations was “Tea Bag the Fools in D.C.” A protester was spotted with a sign saying, “Tea Bag the Liberal Dems Before They Tea Bag You.” So, conservatives started it: started with this terminology. But others ran with it and ran with it.

*shrug*

I gather the organizers were painfully unaware of the implications of tea bag as a verb.

Were I to guess, I'd be pretty certain members of the movement, or party, or whatever you'd want to call it, would have had no issue with that moniker if they hadn't been made aware of its connotation. The article mentions that some of the party (or of the Republican party) do still use the term non-pejoratively. I imagine at the beginning, there was more usage of it. Still seems to be overwhelmingly pejorative overall, though.

I think they knew what it meant all along. C'mon now.

Yeah, libs find such joy in revealing all kinds of vulgar terms from their disgusting lifestyles to innocent children and families.

I know. The DNC that's coming up is only going to be about how they can make "Mitt" a suggestive word. I submit that "mitt" is close to "muff" and thus should be treated as such.

The RNC? Telling women what "legitimate rape" is.

Props for tying it all back in.

Not to belabor this point, but here's an example of what I'm talking about. I just came across this as I was browsing the web.

This sort of thinking jibes with my experience in the evangelical community. It may not, however, jibe with yours.

All I can say is that I've been evangelical for 20+ years, lived in the northeast, southeast, Midwest, and the west ... And every single person I've ever talked to believes just as I do .. Not what Aiken does.

I think motherjones said Aikin said something he didn't really say.
like I think critics of the "cancer ad" said it said something it didn't say.
