Savings in China caused the '08 recession.......

According to a new study, China, not Wall Street bankers, was responsible for the global crisis and the ensuing recession.

The study from the Erasmus Research Institute of Management says the saving frenzy of the Chinese created the cheap money, which fuelled the U.S. housing bubble and its collapse.

I think I've actually seen this theory espoused previously throughout the years, but it's getting attention on the Yahoo Finance front page right now so I thought I'd pass it along.

Seems liek a good topic Duck but above my pay grade. I am not good on economoics. At all. I would be interested in a basic debate. I become uninterested when people get really deep into it though.
 
It's funny how the Dems and Pubs agree on this one issue.

If we are going to talk blame,
I wonder how Europe feels about having bought mortgage backed derivatives from US investment banks.
