All the starters are high-percentage shooters and natural scorers, quite often with a size advantage. I've already got Kukoc off the bench. I don't need Peja.

The defense is anchored by KG (8x defensive first team) and Wilt. KG's the lead defender, and I can rotate in Kukoc, Amare and Davis however I like.

My expectation for Davis is that he'll challenge shots, hustle and finish at the rim. That's a pretty safe assumption, given what he did in the Olympics.
 
Lebron and Magic have played every position on the floor, except center. Having players that can play multiple positions is an advantage. It means that you can focus on an 8-man rotation and keep the talent level higher.

In the playoffs, you go by match-ups. Other teams frequently guarded Karl Malone with centers or guarded Stockton with SGs or even SFs.

Your first three picks are solid. You lost a bit of focus with a couple later picks, but I like your team.

Getting blow-back from these guys isn't a bad thing.

The blowback that I'm getting is no one has any respect for modern day players. I don't understand the resentment. I think basketball is pretty good these days. We had a crappy era with the Iverson's, Marbury's, Francis's, etc... But it's back, and there are some fine basketball players that will go down as some of the best ever in this era.

I also think people over glamorize retired ball players, and conjure up a false images of them. You know, The older I get the better they were mentality.
 
I guess whatever on the whole position thing, but all I ask if I ever start one of these things is that we try to use reality to determine how our teams are being constructed and how the players play.

Bosh will help spread the floor and rebound in his limited minutes, and he's become a decent defender. He'll fit nicely.
 
BTW, I actually kinda like the idea where everyone votes for their top 8 teams, then we do a bracket. Does anyone NOT like this idea?

It's a good idea.

I think maybe the top 8 should be decided by those who took part in the draft. You would not be able to include your own team. Then the top 8 tournament is voted on the the general public. Is that better or worse?
 
I like your team Spycam, other than the Iverson pick. The rest is really solid. Grabbing Tony Parker late was a steal.
