Consider yourself lucky that I'm saving my negs for PKM. Seriously.
I know the Mavs were the other team looking at adding Jefferson when the Wolves were shopping him.
even if the rumor is true, it doesn't say that dallas wants to trade for him... just that they might be holding onto their cap flexibility to go after him next summer.
that said, if they were going to be talked into taking him now, they wouldn't give up anything hugely valuable since they could get him next summer without giving up assets. i don't see us getting any picks, for example, but they'd have to send us at least 10M or so our way. maybe something like haywood + jones.
Haywood got amnestied. Marion (+ JAE ****ING CROWDER) seems to make some sense.
Pfft, if we traded for Clam ****ING Chowder hed just be buried in the bench behind Marvelous and DeMarre Casserole

Until he gets a shot and locks down Lebron, nails treys, and gets mad boards.
oops, forgot about haywood. sorry, was just going off of shamsports' page and forgot about the amnesty.
marion works, too, but makes very little sense for the jazz. i think they need to get a big man back in a trade, so as to not have kanter playing 30 mpg when he doesn't appear quite ready for that. my ideal jefferson haul would be a true PG and a backup big, with maybe a draft pick thrown in for good measure.
(hey, a girl can dream...)
Marion can play the 4. And at this stage in his career, that's probably exactly what suits him best anyway.
so what you're advocating is something like this:
favors - kanter
sap - trix - evans
marv - crowder - carroll
hayward - burks - foye
mo - watson - tinsley
that's not bad, i could be talked into that. although marion is not the most physical post defender, so him at the 4 probably doesn't work in EVERY situation. against second-unit PFs though, sure. then if we could just upgrade the backup PG, we'd be fairly deep everywhere.
