Are pirated jazz games (Justin tv and front row sports) my only option? Any legitimate options?

I think the pirated games would be your only option as I believe blackout rules still apply to the broadband-only NBA Leauge Pass option.
 
I believe discussion like this is always frowned upon, but I dumped cable about 2 years ago and have caught games over.. ahem.. 3rd party sites. And listened on the radio. That sort of stuff.

BUT, I would be more than happy to buy NBALP Broadband, if they didn't black every game out. Since they don't give me that option, and I don't want to pay $50/month just for Jazz games, I'm left with a severe lack of options.

I guess, for what it's worth, I use adblock on the 3rd party sites so they aren't making money off of the NBA's product illegally by having me watch. But if the NBA offered me a legitimate way to do it, I'd be happy to pay. I don't think I'm hurting anybody by doing it this way.
 
Thanks for the responses. I guess I was unclear on my original post. I'm not interested in less than reputable ways. How about sling boxes? Has anyone had any experience with that? If I had a sling box, when I use it does it affect the person watching the tv? How's the quality?
 
If you have a VPN or proxy you can get the games in Utah. I order LP every year and let my buddy use the online portion. He is in Utah and has to use a proxy to login, then turns it off after the NBA LP broadband program loads and he can watch the jazz games.
 
I assume that by dumping cable you would not be getting dish network or direct tv. Because they cost a lot less and they show all of the Jazz games if pay for the right channels.

What exactly does this mean? My mom lives in Ohio. How would we do what you guys do?
 
Seriously, the fact that I can't order Jazz games over broadband makes me so mad.

I have to drive to a friend's place.

This year all STG jazzfanzers are watching home games at PKM's place and road games at Zulu's Deal or No Deal pimped out pad. I'll be hosting pre-season and playoffs but I live in a motel and just stream games on my phone.

Gonna be a fun season.

Lol, does he live in STG? For some reason I thought he was a Cedar City guy.

I'd be down to watch a Jazz game with some JazzFanz. Like at Player's or Iggy's or something.

Who? PKM or Zulu?

Zulu is a drivers Ed teacher at one of the elementary schools here I think, and I'm guessing PKM is an elaborate alt account.

I think we're getting together to watch some games at peppers cantina. Chris L's Mom is bringing sushi.

You, Zulu (and his friend...Eric?), Pee, and UGLIB all live in St. George methinks. You guys should certainly try to meet up, and tell us stories of each other. I must know how dorky PKM is in real life.

I wish there was a gathering for people on Jazzfanz that live in American Fork. You St George guys are so lucky!

My friend has a talk boy I could probly borrow. I'll just stick that sucker in my briefcase and tape record the whole thing.

Anyone know how to upload cassette tape recordings to the webz?

Most have a USB port if you bought one somewhat recently.


PS, I just remembered. Zulu's friend was ChrisL, if Im not mistaken. Not 'Eric', teehee
