Flopping Policy

Depends on the player. For a first year second rounder, $5k will hurt. For Kobe, not so much. They need to make them a percent of salary, not a set amount.
Money is immaterial. Make sure every team has to play the flops on their Jumbotron at half-time for the next week. Public humiliation!

This reminds of the one of the many articles about this flopping policy. The author suggested that somebody (obviously not the game officials) should review potential flops and levy the fines right away. Then during the game the PA announcer could say something like "Chris Paul has just been fined for flopping." Wouldn't that be hilarious?

Interesting Video. I understand where the league is coming from. When you watch the plays that well be considered a flop they are completely over sold and way out of line with the actual contact. I love that they are trying to crack down on that kind of crap
