Legal Pot

Moving back to WA in the Spring. :D And so proud of the people even if it doesn`t pass - it will be close. But hopefully it passes.

No. It was exactly as I wanted it the first time. Regardless of wether he hits some one/something or not I hope they nail his *** to the wall if he gets a DUI.

I advocate much stronger DUI laws. Wether it is from booze, medications or drugs. 1st time you lose your license for 3 months. 2nd time you do it you lose your license for 5 years, 3rd time you never get it back. If you are caught driving while you don't have it for a DUI have fun with a 3 month jail sentance where you are taken out to perform community service all day (12 hours) and get taken back to jail at night.

I agree completely. Wanna get drunk? That's your business. Wanna get high? Cool.

Wanna endanger someone else's lives .. my kids? **** you.

I'm not saying we should go easy on people who endanger your kids.

I am saying pot is totally different than alcohol though, and its pretty stupid to try to mimic the alcohol driving laws for a substance that has a completely different affect on the body.

Couldn't agree more. Do it in your own house, but don't think about driving.

There is plenty of evidence that indicates moderate marijuana use doesn't make driving anymore dangerous than a sober driver, and certainly less dangerous than someone who has been drinking but hasn't drank enough to be illegal to drive.

No it most certainly is not stupid. I am not arguing the effects that pot has v. alcohol. Both of them affect your judgement and reaction times. So driving while under the influence of either should be met with extrememly strict laws.

Stop trying to turn this into a discussion that it isn't. This is not a pot v. alcohol debate. This is a DUI laws and don't try to drive while impaired discussion.

I've seen those studies, and in certain cases I believe some people are fine. That is not the case everytime.
and how much is too much? You can't go into that grey of an area.

If people want pot to be decriminalized(and I do) we have to be willing to adhere to strict guidelines.
