Okay, so I hate hearing people bash on Ron Boone as an announcer. Guy is a legend, and he knows the game. He's a good announcer too! I have to admit that I don't get why so many people hate on the guy. Not to mention, I think he knows the game a lot more than Harpring. Not saying I dislike Harpring, But Ron Boone is just more legit...

Love Ron. Never going to forget wearing my Fesenko jersey and having him ask me "Who the hell wears number 44?"

Also the alternative is Harpring and well know where a right-thinking person stands on that question.

Where is this Ron Boone hate you speak of? I was sad when he went over to the radio broadcasts. I will say that I was pretty indifferent to Ron Boone when he was next to Hot Rod because Boone barely had a chance to get a word in. With Bolerjack I discovered that Boone had a personality and made a lot of great points when given just a little more chance to speak.

You've worn a Fesenko jersey?

When I was little I always knew it was time to be mad when Booner got mad about a call. He only got mad about 3 times a year, so you knew it was serious.

The only time I specifically remember him getting mad was in the Hornacek's last game when the Jazz got knocked out of the playoffs by Portland. Late in the game Hornacek faked a defender in the air and there was contact as Hornacek went up to shoot, but no foul was called. Boone was basically yelling that the refs needed to have the guts to make the right call. I'd love to see a replay of that to judge whether or not Hornacek was leaning into the defender to draw the contact.

I remember that too. I was watching the game at Mc'Donalds.

I always thought that Hot was hatin on Ron. Back in the 90's it was awkward for both of them, as Hot Rod got older, and more.....'engrained' in his ways it was down right embarassing. I liked the way Hots painted the game, but it was sad the way he would cut off Ron Boone or prattle on when he disagreed with what Ron said.

I would cheer when Ron would comment, Hots would disagree, then the refs or the coach would vindicate Ron.
