The question remains: When will the talented young ones be set free?

2) Minutes needed to be redistributed to the younger guys.

A year ago, the Jazz’s kids too frequently sat and watched from the bench as the more experienced players got most of the time. There were a couple of problems with that — first, the vets are what they are and they provided few surprises as far as future potential, and second, for every minute the older players soaked up, it was another minute the younger Jazz players missed in the way of development.

(Jazzfanz)

On Wednesday night, the young’uns were left, again, in Tyrone Corbin’s strict confinement. Favors got 17 minutes, scoring six points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Enes Kanter got 14 minutes, going for six and seven. Gordon Hayward got 23 minutes, collecting 11 points and three boards. Alec Burks got two minutes in garbage time.

Last year Monson piled onto the Trade Al Jefferson bandwagon after this site had beaten the notion to death. (glad you all continuously throw yourselves in the same ring as this idiot hack)

I've often wondered about this possibility myself.

You had to post.
Now I think Gordon is you.

Ummm people it is not just monson saying this.... it is 95 percent of jazz fans, every person on sports talk radio, every writer, and pretty much everyone in the national media.

Its pretty obvious to almost everyone that the burks, favors, and kanter should be getting more minutes.... especially in blowout wins against inferior and tired teams.

Add hayward to the group of guys who should be getting more minutes if his minutes continue to be like they were in game 1.

I wouldn't know - never read him.

No. I can't tell you how many supposed Jazz fans I know that couldn't tell you who Alec Burks even is. There is an embarrassingly large amount of fans who are still stuck in the Williams/Boozer era who couldn't name five players on this team.

I should have said jazzfanz i guess.

But even the ones that i know that dont follow the jazz closely think that favors should be playing more.... and that is the real issue.
The problem isn't just that burks almost logged a DNP, the problem is that corbin will almost always go with the veteran over the younger player regardless of ability, talent, or production.
