My first ever trade idea

I think this trade would push the Jazz to a championship contender within a year (it takes time to build chemistry). And it's also somewhat realistic, probably with some adjustments. It is the best possible trade scenario I can think of.

The Jazz trade Mo Williams + GS pick + our pick for Rajon Rondo. And we trade Al Jefferson and Alec Burks to the Nuggets for Gallinari and Mozgov.

Line up:

PG: Rondo - whatever
SG: Hayward - Foye
SF: Gallinari - Williams
PF: Millsap - Kanter
C: Favors - Kanter - Mozgov (filler minutes or injuries).

That way we have an elite pass first PG who can defend at a world class level and even take over games if needed. We have a good mix of youth and experience without any dominating vets that would limit the development of younger players. We have a 3 man rotation for our bigs that can give Sap and Favors full-time minutes while allowing Kanter 25+ mpg. And we have at least two legitimate go-to guys in Millsap and Gallinari for Rondo to take advantage of, with the possibility of Favors and/or Kanter developing a sick offensive game.

Why would Boston trade Rondo for 2 late lottery picks and Mo? Why would Denver trade Gallinari and Mosgov for Al who nobody wants and Burks who onlly Jazzfanz is drooling over? I cannot see how either of those teams would even think about that trade.

They don't want expiring contracts for guys they just signed to extensions. Celtics get robbed in this deal. Nuggets do too but not as much. Both say hell no.

There were rumors that Boston wanted to rebuild without Rondo. If these rumors were true, it gives them two lottery picks, and a valuable expiring contract in Mo Williams that can be either resigned for less or traded for more assets. But I agree that it might be wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps Rondo is unattainable for the Jazz.

Did mum drop you on your head when you were born? No way Celtics give us Rondo for Mo and someone like Dario Saric that they would pick with the GS pick.

I think boston definately would not do it... and denver would not either unless it was a trade offered at the beginning of the year. (burks WAS considered a talented young lottery pick coming off a decent rookie season, great summer league, and excellent pre-season. Now they probably think burks sucks due to lack of playing time)

I never thought the day would come where someone would propose a trade to bring Kosta "Boom Bitches" Koufos back to the Jazz. Nothing amazes me anymore...
