Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone.

The main point here is to be grateful for what you have and the people around you.
Find something nice to say about all the people around you, and show gratitude for all of the many awesome and blessed things/experiences/people in our lives.

I'm grateful for my wife, for one. She puts up with a lot, but never fails to make me a better person. That's right, I'd be even worse without her.

I was definitely having a horrible day today, and this thread made me think of a lot.

I spent my morning in the ER with my wife. The good news from that is they did an ultrasound and it looks like I am having another girl. Can't confirm as we are only 15 weeks but that's what they said.

sometimes, i wish i could make "yourwelcomesgiving" a holiday for everyone that is so thankful for me.
i like to give back.

You do have to wonder HH, that if Thanksgiving wasn't such a white holiday..... that maybe more blacks would feel less discriminated against.

Happy Thanksgiving! I love turkey, and ham, and stuffing with gravy, and mashed potatoes... I love it all. And I love you guys. *hearts and hugs*

hmmm, interesting point silencer, I hadn't considered the racialism aspects of thanksgiving.
I agree that is indeed a very white holiday.
Though blacks were kept as slave during it's inception, I do not think blacks specifically associate racialism with thanksgiving tho.
Native Americans, though, are a different story. The white man basically unleashed a holocaust on these poor peoples.
You gotta wonder if Native Americans still feel the pain of racialism this holiday symbolizes in a lot of ways.
