Drafts are a crap shoot. Just about everyone thought that Burks was going to outplay Kanter in the long run. He still might though it isn't looking good.
The point is that you take who looks good and see what happens. Sure, he's good. Maybe the team picks him up in free agency or trade, but I don't fault the pick.

Great player and all, but he wouldn't be a good fit for our team. We have Favors, who is better. We have Millsap, who is better. We have Kanter, who has more potential. We have Jefferson, who is here.

If we had drafted him over Burks he would probably be in the position that Evans in today which is benchwarming, keeping it warm and cool for Big Al, Millsap, Kanter and Favors. So i'm still glad, for his own sake we didn't draft him.
