Even when they fed it Ito the post, there were always cutters, not just cutting because that's how they were coached, but they fully expected to get a pass for easy layups. Also the moment Malone got doubled he passed.

Just so we are all clear. Al Jefferson is no Karl Malone in the post.

Karl punished people, attacked, pushed, and turned towards the middle with a wicked vengeance, his elbows cutting through anyone who got in his way.

Karl shooting 10 fts was not a talking point in the post game show unless it was to talk about how the refs wouldn't call the fouls for him.

I was always convinced that most of the Malone era victories came in the first 3 minutes of each game that Karl would knock somebody in the head, or chest and send them sailing. Karl Malone's presence told people "you can try but it will hurt" he inspired fear.

Al inspires smiles, laughter and love. He is a nice guy, nice guys finish last.

Last year, Kanter use get a rebound a minute; he has 3 in 12 minutes in this game and that's about normal for him.

i still love having kanter on the floor. his stats are pretty poor, but whenever i watch him i'm not disappointed.

All that matters is scoring. Score and ole defense is acceptable. That's the message at least. No?
