What's new

Anyone know how long Favors is supposed to be out?

He apparently has Plantar Fascitis, whatever that is...

1280 folks were saying two weeks last night, tonight they said maybe more, and it could still be bugging him in 4 years. Only treatment is rest.

You've got to be really cautious with this injury. Healing times can vary widely with this injury in particular. I hope he doesn't rush back so that we can continue to NOT capitalize on his game.

Ah nuts. I'm really surprised no one's talking about this. The part that scares me is the "Healing times vary" part. Apparently it can go for days to months. And now Mellow says it could be bugging him for four years.

Well no rush to get back this year, that's for true. Perhaps another year when he's not behind Sap in the lineup.

Ah shucks. The guy most think has the biggest impact on the game might be out for a significant portion of the season.

Having had this same injury before, I know the pain and time it takes to heal. It isn't a serious injury but it can be if not taken care of. And it isn't the type of injury you can put a time frame on because of how people use their feet differently than others. If he's using crutches and stays off of it I would expect a quicker turn around than one who's on their feet a lot during the day. Let's hope it isn't severe and he's back soon. Cause we all know we could have used his defense at the end of the game last night.

Look on the bright side, this means more playing time for Kanter!

*sigh*

Damn it! That's not the bright side.
The bright side is that this gives Milsap and Jefferson more time on the floor to develop defensive and offensive chemistry.

The only silver lining in this is it forces Ty to play Kanter more minutes.

I choose Kanter becoming a double double machine by the end of the year over this year's playoffs birth any day.

P.S. Isn't sad that the only way we can give our 3rd draft pick more experience is through injury?

This shortens many athletes careers and usually is something that bugs them off and on year in and year out.

This is going to be a big deal unless it gets healed up right and something is done to prevent it from coming back.

I'm going to interpret this as "now that he's out for a while, we'll see if the team is any worse."

And so far, it's going great! Well, great from my perspective, since I root for the Jazz to lose every game until Corbin is gone.

If he needs a ton of rest for it to heal properly, rest him up. Yeah it sucks not having him out there but I'd rather see Kanter get more minutes and have Favors heal properly than rushing him back for frankly, a season that's transitional at best.

Absolutely no reason to push for return. You don't **** with injuries that can be longterm when you're not even remotely playing for a ring and it's a potential franchise player.

I cannot stress enough that pushing for a return would have 0 upside. Kanter getting more opportunities is a good thing, too.

This is a great opportunity for the Jazz. Jazz have 9 wins, Wizards have 2. We can catch them if KOC acts now. Trade Al Jefferson to Philly for the injured Bynum.

Trade Milsap to Indiana for the injured Granger.

Sign Ben Hangloten to play center and TANK IT BABY!

Denise Lindsey knows how tanking worked for the Spurs, he will support it. Get it done now!

Lot of chatter about Milwaukee wanting out from underneath Monta.

Jefferson for Ellis works straight up and puts Burks one spot deeper on the depth chart. More pain for Burks fanatics.

Then trade Mo & Foye for Beno and have the worst PG trio in the league.
