On Thursday's episode of ESPN's First Take, Rob Parker, a former Detroit News columnist, questioned Robert Griffin III's blackness.

"Is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?" Parker asked.

His inquiry continued.

"He's black, he kind of does his thing, but he's not really down with the cause; he's not one of us," Parker said. "He's kind of black, but he's not really the kind of guy you want to hang out with 'cause he's off to something else."*

Definitely Racism. Its basically implying that if you are anything like white people then it isnt cool.. Im getting tired of that ****.

For Steven A not to comment is a pretty good indicator that the whole thing is bull.

well well well looks like the early round of voting is in and racialism has taken a commanding lead.
thank you all for participating in this edition of "Racialism or Not--You Decide!"
Together, we the JFC can catch the world in the headlights of our justice.

I am very impressed with RG 3! He handles himself way beyond his years and is very articulate, well mannered, and of course, an excellent ballplayer/quarterback! I think rather than view himself as a black man.....he views himself as a man....just like the rest of us! That's why he said what he said. The sports announcer views himself more as a black man and thus made the comments he made about RG 3.

What's up with all these good guys in sports lately? Tebow, Jeremy Lin, RG3, etc? Somebody better stop this nonsense or when I have kids they might actually have athletes to look up to that are decent off the field too. I was kind hoping they would just worship me only. Hang posters of me in their rooms. Frame my autographs.

...has it dawned on anybody that RG3 maybe doesn't want to embrace the typical young mans "black" culture thing.....hip hop, rap, jailhouse tats, 5 children by 5 different momma's! Maybe he's more like Bill Cosby, another black man that views himself as a.........man......and has done very well for himself!

This is CJ's code for saying that he's impressed with RG 3 because he acts more white than black.

I'm betting CJ's a really big Russell Wilson fan too.

(My father bless his generous heart likes to point out black athletes are 'articulate.' He really means when a black athlete doesn't sound black. He has no clue how this comes across.)

I bet Stephen A wanted to say something, but just knew the whole thing was over the line. I swear I remember Smith saying something along these lines about another black athlete, but kind of danced around with his wording a lot better.
