Trade

Utah

Millsap, bell, burks, Watson to Memphis

Jefferson, 1st round draft pick to Philly

Memphis

Gay, Selby to Utah

Ellington to Philly

Philly

Turner, nick young, kwame brown (salary match and dump) to Utah

Why Utah does it. We need a sf and he is the best chance of getting an allstar on this team. Turner if finally showing potential and has been rumored to be available. He is the wildcard in this scenario. Selby is a through in and nick young is a huge chucker on a 1 year deal. Hopefully find a buyout for kwame.

Why Philly does it. Jefferson would be a good player to play alongside Bynum. Bynum being a good defender. Ellington is young and replaces young. The draft pick they would hope for is a lottery pick. But to dump kwame would be wonderful for them. This is the team that would make this all fail may need a little more to make it happen.

Memphi drops a ton of salary and would be under the cap next year by a little. Burks is a young talent in a mold similar to mayo. Actually very similar. This is a complete salary move by them.

This gives the jazz a chance to live and die by its young talent. If the draft pick is say 2014 then next year the jazz draft a pg and a young big this is what the roster maybe next year

Pg mo Williams, for fun trey Burke, gal mekel

Sg turner, Hayward

Sf gay, Williams, Carroll (great 3rd option)

Pf kanter, James mcadoo, Evans

C favors, FA signing, tomic (for fun)

Live and die with the young bigs

Please sir...I can't take anymore Rudy Gay jokes...please have mercy on my soul.

Why do I get the feeling that you've made this trade thread just for the title? Hmmm? ;p

Philly isn't going to see Jefferson and Bynum as playing together. And Turner is just starting to play well. They aren't going to give him up so easily. Jason Richardson would be available.

anything that involves giving up BOTH al and paul better bring back a big in the process, even if it's not a starting-quality big. we can't legitimately expect favors + kanter to go 40 mpg at this point, and that's what we be left w/ if that were our depth chart.

also, love turner's overall game, but if our perimeter corps were mo/turner/gay, then we have three guys who need the ball in their hands to be successful.

No to Gay.. not now, not EVER.

We're definitely not paying Max. $$$ for a guy who's:

- not a leader
- not the best scorer on a team
- suspect on the 3 pt range (32% this year)
- OK / decent defender at best

No no no...

Memphis is easily a lottery team if you take out Gasol. He's the reason they're staying afloat. There's a reason Memphis is unloading him - he's not worth the money he's paid.

Too many player going to many different ways kinda gay 3way.

If you could pry Turner away from Philly without giving up Favors I'd be up for that.

Someone was arguing with me the other day if we trade Guapo(big al) who would be our scorer? My usual answer is the same as it was when stockton and malone retired....someone will pick it up. I do think we could trade guapo for depth and would be just fine. But if a trade involving him or millsap(looking like evander holyfield last night) could net us turner...id be estatic. but in the same breath, would tyrone let him play?

Would you trade Millsap + Marvin Williams for either Rudy Gay or Zach Randolph?

Memphis gets cap relief next season (not this one) and a suitable starting replacement at PF or SF depending on which piece they trade.

Utah gets an All-Star caliber player on a long-term deal. Randolph is the more valuable player, but again pushes Favors back to the bench.

Would you do Jefferson straight up for Zach Randolph?
Maybe Memphis would have to add a second round pick for Utah to take on the long-term deal?

The blockbuster trade between the two teams could be:

Millsap + Jefferson + Marvin for Randolph and Gay

Memphis gets a lot of cap flexibility next season and stays competitive this season. Utah gets 2 B-level players and can move either Kanter or Favors into the starting center spot.

This intrigues me. Before I said yes or no I would want to know more about the draft.

1) how good is the top5 talent?
2) how deep is this draft?
3) how good is the mid-late first round talent?
