What about this trade?

Some draft picks may have to be included.

Why Jazz do it? Obviously we get rid of the front court log jam plus we get a young talent in Beal who is actually improving a lot. Also, we get two veterans who will be expiring contracts next year and will probably be hot commodities on the market next year if we need to trade them.

Why Wizards do it? They offered Beal for Rudy Gay according to ESPN. Also, Wizard's worst position is probably PF since Vesley hasn't really panned out. Nene and Millsap would give them a good front court combo. Plus they get rid of a lot of excess salary.

Why Mavs do it? Cuban is desperate and he wants to make his team competitive. We may have to throw in Foye or a draft pick but the Mavs like offense and Jefferson is instant offense in Cuban's eyes. Plus they get cap space if they want to pursue some people in 2013

Lineup:
PG: Mo Williams/Alec Burks/Brad Beal
SG: Gordon Hayward/Brad Beal/Foye
SF: Shawn Marion/Hayward/Vince Carter
PF: Favors/Marvin Williams
C: Kanter/Kaman

No way we get that much depth, and Dallas gets the and only THE SLAP.

Cuban is notorious for trading away role player depth for salary cap because he loves landing big name free agents. Vince and Marion would consume an extra ~12 million dollars of cap space that he could use to lure some of the top players in free agency. He's not trading Dirk and if Dallas can't make the playoffs, they don't have time to waste another season especially with Dirk aging. They need to get younger and more cap space.

Beal for Gay?
Salaries don't match.
Wiz would have to throw in more players.
Also listed trade would give Jazz an even crazier collection of players.

You're saying Gay has the same trade value as Millsap?

Are you serious?

No I never said that but they need a PF more than an SF plus they don't get a bad contract. Also, they don't have to include the same players they did with their Gay proposal thus there also retaining their depth while dumping Ariza's contract.

There is the CBS link that the Wizards are pretty willing to trade Beal. I think it could be a nice fall back if they can't get Rudy

Then why don't they just overpay for Millsap in the offseason when he hits free agency. And still keep Beal?

Beal was never offered for Gay and there's really no point to making hypothetical trades where we rip everyone off. If this trade was realistic, it would have already happened.

If Utah doesn't re-sign Al and Dwight Howard stays with the Lakers, I think Al will sign with Dallas as a free agent.
