It says that that the Syrian government may have used chemical weapons on the town of Homs on 12/23/12. While they cannot confirm it 100% the State Dept believes Syria used a chemical called "Agent 15".

So if the State Dept believes that Syria did that would clearly violate the "Red Line" the President spoke about. I wonder how the White House will respond...

I hope the white house doesn't respond

Then that shows that America cannot be counted on to hold firm to their public policy stances. That if you push us then we will fold. It damages your credability amoung friends and enemies.

I know and understand what you are saying about us keeping out contracts/word/promises, but i get sick of us always needing to get involved in everything..... I have a feeling that if some country attacked us and we needed help that none of the countries that we always help would have our back.

I agree. We do not need to be the worlds police. However we are in a stituation where our leaders did take a hard stand. So now what?

I think we need to be much more selective in the stances and alliances we make. Do we REALLY want to come to their defense if they are attacked? Do we really want to be economically tied to them? Do we really want to be their protectors?...

I think that our leaders (and country in general) mean well.... and if everything was just peachy here in the USA then i wouldn't mind as much, but it seems that we spend alot and use alot of resources that could be used to help ourselves. (kinda selfish i guess, but im a dick sometimes)
