The jazz are playing Friday Night at the Energy Soulitions Arena. The Game will be played at 9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, 4:00 Am Eastern European Time.

Think the Jazz are the only ones trying to make the playoffs and juggle the new salary cap? Read this piece about the Blazers and educate yourself. In it the Blazer's writer describes the current Blazer's bench as 'one of the worst in NBA history'.

th
yea, he's out.

Here is some quotes about Hayward from sportswriter, Jazz fan and fellow human being Bill Oram. Lucky for us he was at practice today, was thoughtful enough to ask the question, and then good enough to post the info--

After today, the Jazz's next practice will likely be Tuesday with a game Wednesday vs. Milwaukee. So's that Hayward's best chance to return?

So no practice today for Hayward, shoot around won't be enough tom., no shot around Sat. in Portland. Team won't practice Sun. Game Monday.

Ty said it better than I just did: "You can’t emulate a full practice in a shoot around, but it depends on what you can do.”

Bill Oram @tribjazz 8 hours ago
However, shoot around generally doesn't allow the kind of time/atmosphere for a good practice. Seeming unlikely Hayward plays Fri or Sat.

Blazers are the only team in the NBA with 4 players logging more than 33 minutes a game. That tells you all you need to know about their bench.

Conversely, the Jazz have no players playing over 33 minutes a game, which shocked me. Based on all the Al hate, I assumed he was playing a Wiltesque 47-48 MPG.

Can we stop bitching for one thread? HOOLY ****. The horse is dead, the horse is dead.

I hope we win, I hope Kanter gets some time.

We can bitch about Portland all we want. **** you Lillard!

(I'm sorry Lillard I love you so much come play here pleaze)

Great, now we get to see first hand the stud PG we passed on when KOC gave away the GSW pick last year.

I like how we rewrote history and decided that the GS Pick= Lillard.

I don't think anyone is saying that, just saying we were close. More blaming Portland for finally being intelligent. They are on a hot streak of signings and draft picks.

Matthews
Batum
Lillard
Even Myers Leonard, although maybe not lottery worthy, seems like he will be a serviceable big.

Though I think Aldridge's contract kind of sucks. He is a jump shooting version of Al, who is slightly more well rounded, but just as ****ty on defense and is worse in clutch situations.

Good thread mellow. We'll have to see how the Jazz do now that a thread has been made with some effort. I liked the story about Hickson. My prediction is he'll finish the season in Portland, not necessarily to the liking of Portland's management.

Aldridge is a little soft but unlike Al, is truly elite on offense. Despite being a jump shooter he draws more fouls and, more importantly, has a higher TS%. The indirect benefit is he usually draws the other teams shot blocker away opening it up for all their slashers. His +/- ratings are of superstar caliber level the last three years (+9.6, +11.1, +14.4).
