Ante Tomic weighs 260?

I hadn't thought about Tomic for a few months so I thought I'd google his name. The first thing that caught my eye is that Wikipedia is reporting that he weighs 260 (did one of you guys go and change it? :))

I looked him up on youtube and he doesn't look as skinny as he once did...

He did sign another 3 year contract earlier this year and I don't hear anyone with the Jazz talk about him anymore, so maybe I should just forget about him. Anyone else kept up on him? I don't follow European ball. I don't know if 15ppg is good over there or if NBA caliber players should be getting 30ppg. Is it time to forget he exists?
 
no matter what he gets measured, he is not NBA type player. If you label his game, he's softieeeeeeee
 
I thought that his buyout had some provision where it was steep the first year, then went down to a modest 500k or something.

No relative bond between Splitter and him except they both have experience of Spain. Splitter was already ready before coming to Spurs and he's always been tough guy who has nose for the ball. Tomic is offensive minded player, good basketball iq who can not defend the chair. He may foul out in 5 min in the NBA.

Where did I compare their style of game you moran?

I'd totally be down with running with Favors, Kanter, someone like Brand on a one or two year cheap deal, and Tomic as our 4th big.

There is no word like "moran" smartie and you do not get the point. Splitter jumped over NBA because he was ready and good enough to play in NBA but Tomic is not so as you mentioned he can not come over later in his career . So next time you gotta try to get it by using your brain not the thing you sit over

Very gifted offensive player. He's never developed his size into playing effective defense.

How do we know he doesn't play defense? His size is big, he could just stand there and be a better rim defender than Milsap..

Watch the games. Plenty of game clips on You Tube. He doesn't use his size nearly enough to affect the offensive players.
He's improved slightly, but in the NBA I think he gets abused a lot. He could be a good back up player who scored for us,
but does he want to come here just to be a 3th 4th string big?
