What's new

I'm kind of bummed Kevin Murphy didn't continue our streak of pick #47 steals.

I mean, I know I shouldn't have expected anything from him, but still. It was exciting having Millsap and Williams on the same roster, both previous 47 picks by the Jazz, and then making another pick at #47.

I see nothing valuable in Murphy, which is really too bad. Seems like a great guy.

Murphy doesn't look like he will be in the league in a few years. He isn't a great shooter to cover for him bad defense.

How can you judge a kid who doesn't get anything but mop up minutes. From the little I've see him play, I don't see horrible defense nor do I see a bad shooter. However, it is hard to say when you come into the game with a 1:30 seconds on the clock.

Both Millsap and Mo Williams played on worse teams to start their careers and there were minutes available.

He has just been in the games in garbage minutes. If I can remember right, in his first game in the NBA he guarded Kobe and after he was called up form D-league he again guarded Kobe. I didn't think he did bad job in defensive end of the floor. Offensively, though, he didn't look good in most of the games. He has a nice form and is actually taking good shots. I think he can be good player if he was given to chance to play 10 minutes a game. At least we would see more of him and understand if he can be a good player.

I think the NBA game is still way too fast for him, and he needs to relax a little more. By all accounts he's a good shooter, but looks like a clanker because the NBA is overwhelming to him. Give him a year or two.

Murphy is already 22 and he will be 23 next month. The odds are against him developing much further.

In summer league he was serviceable. I see him as a bench scorer kind of like Kevin Martin. He can shoot in a variety of ways.

You can't judge his performance on garbage time. He's probably over-anxious to show he can play.
