What's new

Name coaches that are possible replacements for Corbin?

Now that management/owners are seeing Utah drop out of the playoffs, and Corbin is not only clueless but hes also going to hurt the owners pockets.... What coaches are good out there that will be a good fit for Utah?

The sun has more of a chance of not coming up tomorrow than Ty has of getting fired and not coming back for 13'-14'.........BUUUT, that said, I'd love SVG.

Dudes won at this level and he reminds me of Danny Devito and I'm on record, consistently, of saying Danniel Devito is one of this nations great treasures.

Danny Devito? Does he even WATCH basketball?

Don't get me wrong I love him too, I just don't need to see his clone at every Jazz game.

Jerry Sloan. Get him a good PG and I would be amazed what he would do with Kanter and Favors. It would be like having two bigger and younger Karl Malones.

So 2 that there is a 0% chance they are coming to Utah, an assistant so maybe he sucks, SVG (who I like but cannot see him coming to utah anytime soon), and Flip who is mehhh hes ok, had some success but I dont love him.

Stan Van Gundy sounds good. He really had a good year with a bunch of scrubs a few years ago took them to finals. He made dwight howard good, and now we see DH's real skills in LA. I really think that Gundys quick offense, and expert transition offense type of game would suit our young players. And he wouldnt be a coward about benching veterans.

I'll believe it when I see it. Didn't he say on the radio the other day he would go with the veterans?

Horny. Why not. He has basically the same experience Ty had when he was appointed. He can't be any worse than Ty. He was a smart player and attempted to play defense, despite his shortcomings and he has much more playoff experience than Ty. He knows what it takes. I'm not joking.

I would rather not hire a coach with basically no experience. Ty had more experience than Horny has. Might work out, but I wouldn't risk it.

You mean like Ty? I can see your point, but there isn't exactly an abundance of good, unemployed coaches with experience. Numerous coaches excel with little experience. I can take mistakes if they learn from them, but Ty actually seems to be getting worse. Plus, what are we risking? It can't get any worse than what we have now, unless we had Keith Smart, Mike Brown or Dantoni.
