Most of us knew that we still needed another lotto pick and star last year. We could have gotten that but instead our fo and some idiotic fans here preferred to play the spurs in the first round rather than focus on the long term. It cost us. Was that 4 game sweep really worth losing out on Damian Lillard?

Anyway, so on the bright side, we are making up now for what should have happened last year. We need another lotto pick or two. We need a star. Hopefully we can get lucky this year and get the player (hopefully a pg) we need in order to finally actually rebuild.

that 14th pick is gunna be way sweeter than the 15th pick we were gunna get by making the playoffs

We didn't miss out on Lillard. There was absolutely no way to get him at #8 (had GS' pick landed at that spot). To move ahead of Portland (you know they weren't going to trade with us), would have required giving up one of the C4. The argument is really are we better off with a probable lottery pick this year or drafting say a guy like Harkless or even Zeller.

Not necessarily the 15th. Had the Jazz made a run, they may have finished ahead of Houston and a handful of EC teams as well. It could very well have been the 18th pick or so. A lottery pick is a lottery pick. There's probably a good chance the Jazz could trade the 14th and 20th picks and move up into say the #10 spot, if a player is available that they like.

Players the Jazz have turned down trading Paul Millsap for:

Eric Bledsoe
James Harden

Players that will be on the Jazz next season:

Not Millsap
