Advice on a vehicle

Seriously.. my family is my wife and I and 5 kids at home with two in car seats. We have people visit often and we like to take them sight-seeing.

So.. I've been thinking of buying a 12 or 15 passenger van. They're just so damn ugli and of little value except those rare occasions.

I've also looked at Escalades (ESV) and for that matter limos (not the stupid Town Car type limo, but more of a stretch jeep or something).

Anyway, anyone have any other ideas? In a PERFECT world, I would have something that could seat at least 10.. and is 4x4 so we can explore the Arizona Strip, etc.

Would be badass.

Your only option.

ugli hit the nail on the head. you dont have to throw your money away on a customized one like that though. buy the van bone stock new or used. buy a 6" lift kit and A/T tires and wheels. i'll throw it all together for ya.

Rent one. I mean, how often are you going to have to do this? Once or twice? Once the family members go, are they really going to go another time?

Solid advice and I did think of that. Thing is I need something big just to go eat with the family.. so I figured why not just go bigger and accomodate the exceptions as well.

Gotcha. If it's going to be used that often, then why not just go for one of those Sportsmobiles UGLI posted? Then, when one of your son's is old enough, you can pass it on to him. Dude be da man.

Not real sure yet. Have thought about a 15 passenger 4x4 van and lift it. Stretch jeep (6 door). Stretch H2.

Thing is I want to beat the piss out of it so I don't want to spend a lot.
