Soooooooo sick of the dreadfulness that is this season. I, like many of you, was hoping that this would be the year that we saw the young guys come into their own. This was the year that we would realize the potential of a defensive anchor in Favors, the brilliance of a Big Turkey dominating the post and shooting the 15 foot jumpers we need to space the floor. Heck, some of you even thought that we would see Burks average 30 minutes a game and turn into the PGOTF.

The only thing we got is reduced minutes for Hayward, even though he is more efficient and has a stronger all around game than he did last year.

Oh well, there is always next year........if we get rid of Ty "DogHouse" Corbin.

The only thing we got is reduced minutes for Hayward...

I thought for sure you must be wrong here....

OMG, this is actually true! Hayward's minutes-per-game have decreased from 30.5 last season to 29.0 this season.

WHAT IN THE HELL ARE THE JAZZ DOING?

Please, someone come in here and justify this.

Here is the most disturbing stat from this year and it comes from an article on SLC Dunk:

In addition during these years they have tried to quack like a playoff contender. That is a great model to follow. That is IF your future key cogs are getting significant minutes. The only Jazz players who will be on contract next year (Hayward, Burks, Favors, Kanter, and Evans) have combined for a total of 5891 minutes. Consider this, Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson, and Randy Foye have combined for 6,592 minutes. Three players on contract years have combined for 701 more minutes than 4 lottery picks and a second rounder from the last 3 years of Jazz draft picks.

That's not true. We also got reduced minutes for Burks, Favors and Kanter as well.

Hayward, Favors, and Kanter have combined to play all of 2.3 more minutes per game than they did last season. 2.3!!! COMBINED!!!

What wonderful progress this team is making...

But don't boo, whatever you do. NO BOOING!!!

Regarding the distribution of minutes... Corbin is the one running the show, incorrectly. All of the young guys deserve more playing time. The entire fan base knows it and so does the rest of the league. Corbin's inability to wake the **** up is really upsetting.

FALSE. Combine the C4 together and they have played 4.3 more minutes-per-game than last year. 4.3 minutes!

I guess I was thinking about the final 20 or so games of the season when Favors and Burks started seeing more minutes. I figured that would carry over to this year. Little did I know that Foye, Millsap and Jefferson are far superior players to the C4.

Don't worry, there's still time for Corbin to cut their minutes back. The season ain't over yet!

I want the Jazz to do one thing:

Do NOT play the young guys anymore this year. The stupid vets have relied on the young guys to bail them out all year long. Sit the young guys, let the vets get blown out of every single game and then let them go.

They screwed our year, let's screw their next paycheck by not covering for their laziness anymore.

Every bad Experiment for the Jazz always ends later than perhaps it should: C.J. Miles, Fez, Snyder, Jarron Collins, Josh Howard, Raja Bell, Roger Braille, David Locke (no i'm kidding, sort of), Alfense, tentative rebuild mode, Morris Almond, Tyone Corbin, Brevin Knight, Play the vets instead of the young guys even on nights when the vets couldn't give a Sh** less about winning.

Every Good Experiment for the Jazz ends too early: Mo (as a rookie before he became a chucker), Koufus, Domonique Wilkins (never even started), Eric Maynor, Wes Matthews, Dr. Dunkinstein.

IN my book it ended already!

Dutch you should feel shamed. you call yourself a jazz fan. i know you hate al. but that is no reason to act out is such a terrible form of jazz fanzness. we are not lakers fans or houston fans, we hold our selves to a hire standard.

One more thing about this season is Franklins ridiculous thread about how crappy he thinks Favors is. It kills me that we have all these players, that we are making play around Al, Millsap and Mo. The Core Four needs minutes to develop, but more importantly than minutes, they need to be the players that are getting plays called for them, and they dont need to be taking the sloppy seconds from the vets. Kanter should be the main post scorer. Hayward and Burks should be running the PNR with Favors, and initiating the offense on every possession. These guys can be really good, but they can't excel until we get rid of the iso heavy alfense.

It does seem like the AL/Corbin era will never end. It got old after the beatdown in the playoffs last season where Jefferson admitted the JAzz can't beat them before the series was even over. I wish KOC and Greg Miller could have realized then that we would never go any futher with Jefferson as the focal point of the team. I guess there is a nice chance that the JAzz could not find a favorable deal and thus were stuck not trading jefferson, But even still, KAnter should have gotten more mintues i would think. If i was Corbin, I would bench Jefferson everytime he gives up an uncontested layup.

If you hold yourself to a "hire" standard, does that mean that you also hold yourself to a "fired" standard if you make crappy posts?

I think you should.
