Its because our great coach rewarded him with a non existent role on the team after that for his hard work.

He was quite good - although again part of that was he played significant minutes because Mo missed games and Utah played Foye and Burks together - with Foye playing more point than Alec but it worked fairly well since both have skillset to be combo-guards.
Burks didn't play at all the first 2 games, got a short opportunity in the 3rd game at the start of the 2nd-qtr in Memphis and struggled in 6 minutes (with Utah playing a bizarre Burks/Foye/Evans/Favors/Kanter lineup) and then for the most part remained out of the rotation until injuries re-opened the door.
