Kobe possible Achilles tear!

Nah, it's all on D'Antoni. They couldn't have hired a worse coach for Dwight & Paul.

You can't tell me Kobe didn't want to be in there. He made a guarantee that the Lakers were going to make the Playoffs and he wanted to take full responsibility. He was trying to will his team into the Playoffs, and he just might have done enough to get them there.

If D'Antoni was a better coach, they wouldn't be in this mess of trying to get into the playoffs. His brand of offense is obviously not tailored made for Dwight & Pau. And you can't tell me he teaches defense.

This is not just an issue for this game, it was a mistake to hire D'Antoni from the start. And for that you can blame Jim Buss.

I was starting to think he was MJ in a mask before he rolled around on the ground in utter pain .. then limped very painfully off the court

Honestly, this sucks big time. You never want a player to go down like that.. even if the Lakers make the playoffs, their future at this point is completely screwed. I feel bad for the dude, he's such a competitor but will probably never be the same because of this.

Horrible news.

You never want to see an all time great go down like this. Kobe is one of the greatest ever. Even jazz fans must admit that. In fact, as a tribute to Kobe I'm changing my sig. He has been too great for too long to have it end like this.for you morons celebrating... Why not just beat the lakers? Why celebrate such a horrific injury? Just beat the lakers. Hell, had we not pissed away so many games against the pelicans and kings this year we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

Reminds me of when Memo went down in the playoffs against the Nugz. I hate Kobe, but I respect the guy. One of the all-time greats. It would be a real shame if this ended his career, seriously.

Dude, any competitor is going to stay in 48 minutes if you let him. Malone would have done it too if asked, so would Stockton.

I ****ing hate Kobe, and wish many a minor injury on him. This ****ing sucks though.

I don't know that the Lakers are/were any better off with another coach. Who was even available?

Sticking with Mike Brown. At least Brown could coach defense.

Or caving in and giving Phil Jackson his home only deal. Having Jackson for half the games and home practices is better than D'Antoni full time.
