Because espn is trying to hype the now meaningless Laker game..the play by play guy tried to say that the Lakers need to win to make the playoffs no matter what so people would watch

I've beat this horse to hamburger, but Corbin is just garbage. Players know it. Fans know it. Every team's coaching staff in the league knows it. There is a reason he was passed over repeatedly for other head coaching positions. As long as he's here, this team will underachieve. Missing the playoffs on the last day really sucked the year the Jazz went 42-40. This year? Meh. I was rooting for it I guess, but just barely.
