Chris Paul and Deron Williams both out in 1st round. In his career Deron has 4 playoff series wins and CP3 has 2

Williams and CP3 will never lead their team to a championship. They may end up being an 2nd or 3rd best player on a championship team but never as the main star. NBA just doesn't work for star PGs.

.....I think Tony Parker has done very well at the point guard position. Of course, he's been on the smartest team in the league for the past 10 years or so. That does make a difference no matter what position your looking at. So as it stands right now, I'm pulling for the Spurs to win it all, then maybe the Grizzles, possibly the Bull's only because of my Chicago ties, and then hope the Knicks, Heat, and whomever is left can crash and burn!

...speaking of a crash and burn, that was some absolutely horrendous defense by Tayshawn Prince on that last play and then brain dead offensive maneuver after the time out! Frankly, the Grizzles just gave this game away, hook, line and stinker!

The Nets are such a mess. They are the perfect example of how not to GM. How does Billy King even have a job? That's gotta be why Jay Z sold his shares. Not just because he wants to be an agent. He saw how that the Nets were going no where fast.

They could have a core of Lopez, Favors, Kanter, and Lillard right now, instead of that hot mess. With the difference of 100's of millions of dollars, and no way to fix it. Wow.

And they still could have had joe Johnson. Crazy to think they basically traded favors, kanter and lillard for d will and Gerald Wallace. That team is screwed.

....I think the Pacers should put Hasborough on Mello! With all his elbows, knees and other body parts thrown at him, it would frustrate the heck out of Mello! Or at least until Hasborough fouls out!

Joe Johnson is part of the problem. Probably their biggest problem.

Remember how a few week ago all the talking heads were talking about how this is the era of point guards? Well... Sorta...

Big Z and Gasol powered Memphis over LA.
OKC. Is still winning without westbrook.
Miami is cruising for another year without a PG.
Boston's best win came without any PG (game 5).
Who is indiana's point guard? Yet everyone knows David west and hibbert. Oh and Paul George.
Denver had 2 great PGs and went down.
Steph Curry has been so exciting to watch play. He's probably the best PG still playing. Yet, even he isn't playing PG. jack is. Almost equally exciting has been Bogut. After 2 years of injury he has finally come back and returned as one of the league's top centers.

So I am not sure if Your best player needs to be a PG. I think having good solid bigs and/or a dominate wing (king, George, KD, Melo, pierce, etc) is the best way to go. We already have great bigs. Hopefully unchaining Hayward this next year will help.

Not to mention the Bulls, who used a broken down Heinrich and brainless Robinson at PG to beat one of the supposed elite PGs in the game.
