Posts of the Year

Alright guys, this is an idea I've had for a while.

It's basically a thread where everyone is welcome to post (or paste in links to) posts (or a series of posts) that are worthy of recognition be it:

- solid logic

- solidly funny,

- or any posts that are worthy of attention/recognition.

Why do we need this?

Because good posts sometimes get lost in the mix. There are so many topics & threads we just can't keep track of them all. We're all very busy with our work, our study, or our wives and gf's. So this is a place where people can come and catch up on what they've missed in terms of quality posts.

OK, I'll make a start, I saw this in the Jazz forum today and thought it was worthy of more recognition:

I say that the single grain of sand that constitutes my fandom for the Jazz will be flushed out of the hourglass and into the deepest regions of Na'ar if BIGal is wearing a Jazz jersey next year.

Nice metaphor there Trout. Keep them coming.

(I personally thought my "Sonny and Cher" response to the "Babe" post was kind of brilliant)

It's "posts of the year", not "thread of the year" - so please bring the link or copy & paste the link to the quote for easy access. That's kind of the point of this thread, so people don't have to weed through posts after posts after post.

It'll also make it easier for us to rep you that way.

Tuesday morning really sucks
Instead of being stuck
in my box slaving I could be
walking outdoors in the sun

complainers are grey
half empty ers are dark
walkin on sunshiners are yellow
complete fullers are fun

shortsightedness is the new buzz
everyone is their own Einstein
their own Buonaparte
will all have their own Waterloo

day traders, all of them
will lose their growth in their fees
pay ordinary income tax
long term investors will pay capital gains
and not check their stocks every day/hour/minute

I am a capital gains fan
I am not a knee jerk
I am not a doom and gloom publisher
I am more Ghandi than guillotine revolutionary

I am franklin

Ok this series of posts from the '13 Draft thread a few days ago I thought was fun:

Whoah!! Turn down the HATE just a notch guys!!! Talk about over-reaction!!!

- Did you read my previous posts re we'll have to wait and see Wolters' numbers at the Combine?

- Hayward played tennis in Junior high, so he had good lateral movement - this was all over the news before the draft.

- Schroeder moves his feet very well as we all saw against defenders and he's very quick to get in front of defenders.

Again, we're not dealing with a murder trial here boys and girls. It's the NBA, it's the Real Deal Holyfield of bball, and I'd say we go by the motto "Guilty until proven Innocence".

If the guy "didn't have it" in college, it's just too risky to say he'll suddenly "have it" in the NBA.

WTF does this mean? lol showed this to my wife and she is cracking up.

Happy I can help mend your marriage.

I'm glad you're just a troll and not actually this stupid.

I was being serious.

In the end it's all about loving God though. If you love God you play good defense. Wolters looks like he loves God.

So do you think Wolters is guilty or not guilty?

Either way, he's not getting a rose at tonights ceremony.

Jesus ****ing Christ.
