Geez Lindsay, announce it to the world why don't you.

Dennis Schroeder and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been given first round promises for the 2013 NBA Draft, according to sources.

Both Schroeder and Antetokounmpo could elect to withdraw from the draft as International prospects.

Schroeder is a 19-year-old, 6-1 point guard out of Germany, while Antetokounmpo is an 18-year-old, 6-9 small forward out of Greece.

I think this would be a good draft for the Jazz. Very athletic and very good upside out of a weak draft.

I'd be very happy with this... like I said in the draft thread when posted there.

to me the notion that a player like dj augustin is top 10 worthy (and i loved him in college) and schrods isnt, is absurd, ive got dennis 5th overall

the jazz would have made the playoffs if they had traded for augustin as i had suggusted during bledsoe mania, but maybe the asking price was too much. who knows

Meeks had a promise in the 1st and we UNDRAFTED.

So the promise was more of a made-up story by another team to get other teams to hopefully draft him earlier than they should have? Only the team who made up the rumor was ****ed up enough to actually act like it was a real promise?

Yeah, I know.. as soon as I hit reply I knew I had two stories mixed up. Meeks was promised by Portland, iirc. Have no idea if it was made up, Port changed their minds, or what...

Still, chances are Porty just made that promise to stir buzz and create a smoke-screen, no?

I know it's impossible to know, but I would like to find out how many promises are actually kept and executed. I think it's more of a draft strategy maneuver than anything.

I think it's ********, mostly. Wtf would you make a promise? Makes no sense, at all.

It just stuck out to me cuz I couldn't believe how far Meeks was falling and I was convinced he'd be a 2nd Rd steal. Wasn't he decent his rookie year or am I confused? He's the dude that dropped like 50 in a college game once right?
