Was Fes' Play Last Night An Aberration?

Seems like the Jazz should have locked him up for 2-3 years. It could be a headache trying to keep him at the end of the year.

Nah. Fes himself said he doesn't want to move, mostly out of laziness. Most Euros seem to stick to one city when they can. As long as we don't try to grossly lowball him (if deserving), I'm not too worried about it.

Fess will probably look better in Jerry Sloan's system than on other teams.

I'd like to see what Fess and Jefferson on the court together would look like. The Jazz circa late nineties always liked to go big.

Would Fes have shown up this in shape if he were locked up for 2-3 years? Seems like the Jazz gave him a wake-up call and (hopefully) he's responding.

100% aberration. Nothing has changed with this clown. He got lucky last night.

This.

Anyone that has some sort of athletic ability can have a good game every once in a while. Even if that means 2 games in a row.

It was an aberration, but scoring is not Fess's role. Fess is a giant defensive stopper. He causes havoc, sometimes for his own team. Portland's entire dribble, drive threat was nothing last night. Give Fess more minutes!! He probably wont score 18 points in any game this season, but if he controls the paint and plays his role, the Jazz will go far.

A couple of years ago he played Yao Ming to a draw in an OT loss to the Rockets in Houston and I thought wow the guy is going to be great. I'm skeptical that he can keep it up.
