Trade for Greivis Vasquez if the Pelicans draft Trey Burke

Does anyone else like him? Great Pick and Roll player already. Isn't the greatest defender but is a decent shooter and will for sure get everyone involved.

His percentage would go up playing with guys that can actually score. They have terrible offensive players (Eric Gordon is always injured). Our team is more balanced.

If you have not watched much of him.

Why would New Orleans trade him? I still have my doubts that N.O. will draft Burke. Is Burke better than Vasquez? I hardly doubt it at this point considering Burke has yet to prove he can play in the NBA. I like Burke and think he will be a good PG in the NBA but I just don't see the Pelicans getting rid of Vasquez considering how well he played last year.

So now it's Grevis Vasquez we hate on (Future backup point guard).

Let's face it, theres not a player out there that fits on the Utah Jazz.

Nothing wrong with future backup PG.

But I'm not willing to give up assets to get a backup PG, when I can just go out and get one relatively cheaply from the FA market.

I'd like to get a guy with a little more defensive potential or who's shown he can play good defense, but for the right price Vasquez could be nice. He has a good offensive game.

I like a guy with a little more upside/potential than vasquez

I read that the Pelicans are having some struggles. They are having a difficult time getting prospects in to work out for them even though Sac. and Pistons are able to get the same players. That might have changed in the last couple of days, I haven't checked. *See the edit*

Also heard that they won't have the new Pelicans Jersey ready for their new draftee, they had a problem and the uniforms won't be ready on until later this fall. To me that is a big fail, they intoroduced the logo a while ago they should have had the jerseys available for the draftee and for their fans to buy.

Just little things, but it makes me appreciate the competence of the Jazz. Its easy to nitpick at the mistakes but the Jazz do get alot of things right.

*Edit* So yea, they have got something together finally:

I've been hoping they'd want to draft a sg and move away from Eric Gordon's contract. Not that it's a bad contract, but they might want to save money and build at other positions of need.

Then I remember Gordon looks like the next Monta, a sg who can't shoot.

Bledsoe is still a possibility.

The Clippers already had preliminary discussions with the Orlando Magic about trading for shooting guard Arron Afflalo at the pre-draft camp in Chicago, and there is a level of mutual interest on both sides, sources said. ESPN.com's Chad Ford reported Orlando is interested in a package that would include Caron Butler and Bledsoe, but the talks are preliminary at this point. It's believed the Clippers would want at least one more asset in order to part with their prized young point guard.

I don't think the Jazz have a chance to match that in terms of needs for the Clippers. Bledsoe is not going to happen. We just don't have what the Clippers want.

Terribe defensive player. Might work as a back up, but you don't win a championship with him unless you have Lebron or Durrant.
