DraftExpress just updated their mock draft 20 minutes ago and this is who they have the Jazz picking:

14. Shane Larkin

21. Lucas Nogueira

I would love this draft.

Let's hope they get it wrong.

Otherwise, I'd rather they we the #14 in '13 for a team in the range of #19-#25 pick in next year's draft.

I'd say there's better than 50/50 we move up, but I have no problem with us taking Larkin. At 14 he's one of the few guys that have a chance to be better than good, IMO. There's no guarantee's in any of this, but especially this draft.

Also........he, along with McCollum are among 3-5 guys I think have a chance at being the ROY next season. I said days ago that if the Jazz move up, I'm fairly certain CJ will be their target.

What makes you so certain we're moving up? Seems like every team suddenly wants to move up.

- Minny wants to get Oladipo

- OKC wants to get Len

I'd be happy with that. Nogueira should be a pretty good pick for #21, and I've gradually become more sold on Larkin. If the Jazz FO people feel that he's the best PG available at #14, I'm willing to give it a go.

Just looked at the mock. Not so sure how I'd feel at taking Larkin over Shabazz, though.

I think McCollum is who the team want based off size, scoring potential/ability to spread the floor, leadership/maturity/confidence and last but def not least, age. I think they highly value that he is a senior, in that he is much more likely to be able to come in and get respect from the young core because he is similar age and is a vocal leader. This team DESPERATELY needs that, no?

Now, that said, i dont personally think he will be the kind of guy that leads a team to a championship. I see more Jennings/Ellis to be honest.

People, including Bodhi, are misunderstanding McCollum's game.. we'll be thrilled to have him (hint).

Help me understand. Did you miss me saying he's 1/5 I think have a chance to win the ROY?
