12 spots, assuming Carroll and Tinsley return and Murphy does not. Also assuming McNeal sticks. I see the Jazz carrying 14, given the injury to Marvin Williams. They'll add a SG (please don't let it be Foye) and a big. Both players will probably be given 1-yr non-guaranteed contracts, allowing either to be released as soon as Williams is healthy. Jazz will want to have 13 at the deadline so up to two players can be added without having to give up anyone in return.

The Saint Marys guard is a winner too. He started all four years, his team won 20 plus games every year and he was in double figures scoring and at least five assists all four years. We want winners not losers coming to the Jazz.

There isn't even a true SF on your list other than Carroll.
Seth Curry. Could be a strong 3rd guard. Can play a bit of point, can shoot from anywhere, and can play alongside either Burke or Burks. He is a cheaper version of Randy Foye. He, like Steph, has glass ankle issues, but Steph proved he can handle a full season in the NBA.

Well, that's twelve players on my list. But I predict Neto is stashed, leaving two spots open to get to 13. Based on his comments at the presser, I think Lindsey will have a sit-down with Millsap and offer a deal in the $8M/per range. I think the whole plan, first divulged by KOC and later affirmed by Lindsey, is to see who gets dumped at the deadline. The tax penalties under the new CBA are much more punitive. There will be a lot of sellers at the deadline, especially teams looking for straight cap space. SO i see the Jazz trying to get very good rotation player(s), or taking on a salaries for lottery pick(s) or young prospects.
As for SF, the solution is probably to let Hayward/Carroll play those mins. until Marvin returns. Also think it likely a young SF (e.g. summer camp player) is signed to a non-guaranteed deal and kept on the roster until Marvin can play. I also see the Jazz likely re-signing Foye. Not thrilled about that, but I just don't think they view Burks as ready to start. So Millsap + Foye + a veteran PG + Carroll + Tinsley + temporary SF, with Neto staying in Europe. That's the way I see it until the trade deadline.

That's 15 players and 14 after Marvin returns. I'm assuming the Jazz waive the rookie SF by Dec 31 so his contract doesn't become guaranteed. Jazz can then release or trade McNeal if they need roster space in a trade.

Seth Curry could play PG for maybe 5 minutes. Maybe. Trust me on this one.
I do think that he can play just because of his shot, but that is all he can do. Size is a huge weakness, not athletic, not quick like his brother is, not good on defense. He definitely needs to go to the right place to succeed, and I don't think we're it.
