Did the Warriors just get worse?

On paper the W's still have a very nice solid starting line-up:

Steph
Klay
Iggy
Lee
Bogut

and Barnes off the bench keeps that team from having a terrible 2nd unit (but still not very good). Steph got in 78 regular season games last year, but less than half the year before. Those ankles are always going to be very suspect and Bogut is essentially a ticking time bomb. If Steph ends up missing large chunks of games and finishes around 60 played they'll be in trouble.
 
Agreed. Barnes off the bench will help. Still, that's not a very good bench. Doesn't mean they can't go back to the playoffs. I just hope they don't.
 
Besides David Lee will be coming off hip surgery and I heard Ezell had knee surgery. One of the best qualities of last year's GS team was their team chemistry. Jack and Landry were a big part of that so it is safe to say that they got worse chemistry wise. In my book Iggy has always been overrated and he is not the player he use to be. I certainly can see the Tankers missing the playoffs in a more competitive Western conference especially now that they have a target on their backs.
 
I know we're penciling Iggy to the starting lineup.. but;

Curry
Thompson
Barnes

would be a tough guard..
 
The depth chart for Golden State looks like the following:

Curry/Scrub
Thompson/Barnes
Igoudala/Barnes
Lee/Green
Bogut/Ezeli

I believe they still could add a player using the mid-level exception or just minimum contracts as they are over the salary cap. They desperately need a quality guard to backup Curry who can also guard 2's. Landry was also a very important force in the paint for them.
 
It's been said, but I think Jack being gone will be huge. Very close to as much of a subtraction as adding Iggy is an addition.
