on right now, he just said they were trying to resurrect Andres Biendrins (sp) career.

Not surprised, maybe a bit concerned.

so, he didn't say that.....

He did say that they were going to compete, but again, of course he would say that.

Actions speak louder than words, and given that the actions have totally contradicted the words, I'm not too concerned with Biedrins taking a ton of minutes.

I'm certainly fine with him saying it. I just don't believe a word of it. At least, it was not his intent. If he CAN resurrect his career here, then great, but that's not why he traded for him.

Lindsey mentioned Mo Williams as one of the guys, including Millsap and Al Jefferson, that the Jazz COULD have re-signed but chose not to.

Still think that right up to the draft and maybe the first day of free agency, the Jazz were still debating the direction to go: i.e. signing a good bench or going for a high pick. We know Jefferson was gone either way, but the Jazz were supposedly linked to a few decent FA's. I think Lindsey got a huge push in the "tank" direction by seeing teams like Sacramento, NOLA, etc. improving their teams. Outside of Utah, the only franchises that seem to be in 2014 draft mode are Philly and Boston - unless I missed someone.

Who nees Mo when you have his mini-me in Burke? ...joking ... or am I? ... I hope.

Other than teams like Orlando who decided to go the tank root long ago, yeah.

If Atlanta does not re-sign Teague, I would put them in the tank category.

I wonder what casual fans would think if he just flat out said we're trying to get a good pick in 2014.

There would be backlash. And fewer people would go to games. I'm just hoping that attendance doesn't drop too much.
