Hearing: Free-agent PG John Lucas informed other suitors today that he has committed to Utah. Deal with Jazz on course to be sealed this week.

This is what John Lucas III will be remembered for.

I'm so angry this has come to fruition... all my worst fears are now realized with the signing of Lucas. A mistake in what's been a pretty good offseason.

Why are so many people pissing their diapers? Young guys get their minutes and experience starting, backups come in and suck, Jazz get top 3 draft pick. Championships in less than 5 years. Impatient ****s..

We needed another PG, jazz had zero desire to sign a big FA PG, I think this was a smart signing. i still think we need to sign one more PG... i hope we resign tin... i think he isa good locker room guy (glue guy).... hopefully this is just one more sign the FO is for real about going young and letting the C5 grow together.

I say hell yes to finding our if your young lotto picks are for real!!!

I wish we'd signed Udrih or whatever the hell his name is. On the other hand, Lucas ensures we're tanking the right way.

Jazz are going to need that.

Why wouldn't they tank right away? If they're gonna tank there's no use half-assing it. You go all in.

I'm surprised the Jazz went with Lucas over Tinsley.

they stil have the cap space to resign him... I dont see them letting him walk. even if they keep him around in a mentor role. he has played on big nba stages, even though he cant do it now, he is an old dog who knows all the tricks, he knows the game, he knows how to play. and honestly, he would be better at teaching then JL III.... guys never been or done anything.
