Saw this today. Not bad. A few cheesy parts but one of the better horror movies I've ever seen. It didn't hurt that much of it hit close to home. Recommended.

How rated R is it? I mean, some are barely out of PG-13 range (for the life of my I cannot to this day understand why the Matrix was rated R) and others are rapidly approaching NC-17. My son wants to see it with some of his friends, so I was wanting to find out where it fell on the scale before saying yea or nay.

I found Blair Witch to be mostly boring. Saw it opening day and just couldn't take it seriously. Maybe it was how much snot there was in it made it hard to focus on the jittery camerawork and heavy breathing.

Funny, I didn't even realize it was rated R. No nudity. I don't remember any overt use of foul language. Violent, yes. It did deal with murder and suicide. Scary, yes. It also dealt heavily with religion and the occult. It did put religion and god in a good light. Anymore that'll get you an R rating just for that.

Better than Blair witch??

No chance.

Blair Witch was OK. And it was a unique concept at the time but overall, pretty vanilla. I'd recommend this over Blair anytime.
