If you want a championship it will take a Hall of Famer to do it.I agree, we should just suck *** forever and not try until we get lucky enough to land a Hall of Famer.

So, you think we make the playoffs this season? If these guys can't get us into the playoffs now(or close to it) how in the world are they going to win a ring say five years from now. Bobcats suck because they don't value their assets properly, their a young franchise, and they are cheap. Constant suck is not the same as an intelligent rebuild.
Bobcats
Example signing big Al the year before the best draft class in years.
Jazz
Example letting big Al go the year before the best draft class in years.
It's going to be everyone's first year with starter minutes, besides Hayward, I don't think it's playoffs or bust. You are being dumb. We are going to add other pieces as the team is streamlined from rookei contracts to 2nd year contacts and veteran pickups in FA.
The thing is, I don't know if this "core" is talented enough to win a championship. That's what we're going to try to figure out this year, isn't it? I don't figure we have the perfect team, but after we see what we do have we can adjust and trade and draft to fill the holes. I'm hoping we're at least competitive in 3 years.
I don't think you figure it out this year.
How long did it take Stockton and Malone to get to the final round? A long ****ing time. Would you rather Utah just have abandoned them?
I believe that the one thing that will hurt the Jazz this year will be fouls. Both Kanter and Favors foul a lot. If the Jazz end up relying on Gobert and Biedrins for heavy minutes things could get ugly fast.
I do this that it will take this year for Favors and Kanter to build enough respect (I hate that I'm writing this) around the league so they would get called for the small fouls. I see things being better for them in 2 years.
I was wondering about that and wondering if they might benefit a little by being the starters. I agree it's horrible, but it's the way it is. The refs call fouls based on reputation, like there's no way that scrub got a clean block on LeBron so gotta call the foul just to be safe.

Because very young teams generally suck, even talented very young teams
Current stars who missed the playoffs their first 2 years on young teams: LBJ, Durant, Chris Paul
Remember how much the young Mavs with Nowitzki and Nash sucked? It took Nash 5 years to average 10+ ppg or 6+ apg.
Only one team with an effective age under 25 has ever won a championship (1977 Blazers)
35 wins will be a major accomplishment for Jazz. Playoffs would be a miracle.
Wait are 3-4 years to make judgment on this Jazz team, hopefully with player development and adding pieces (draft?) along the way. A winning record or playoffs is not a criteria for success for this team. Anyone hoping for this will likely be (unnecessarily) disappointed.
Again the thunder had a young core that won very few games. Now they are considered one of the top teams in the west. Yes they had Durant. But they still lost a lot.So, you think we make the playoffs this season?
