Lindsey's Stretch 4?

He's a good guy. Played a season in Germany and I liked his play. He also stays in touch with players from his hometown and advises them on oversea gigs. Took a lot of flak from fans in Atlanta for allgedly not showing proper effort. Which is ******** if you ask me...

Right now the Jazz have:

Burke/Lucas/Mcneal
Burks/Rush/Clark
Hayward/Williams/Jefferson
Kanter/Evans/Biedrins
Favors/Gobert

Tolliver would be 15 players. No room for a SL signing in case of injuries. Not sure I see the need to make a move right now. Unless they chop McNeal...

Tolliver is a former DLeaguer who went from making McDonald's money to a couple of big contracts in the NBA. I saw him play for the Stampede and then Golden State signed him.

Um, Why? We have Evans and Marvin, and that's after you've already used Favors and Kanter. Sure, Marvin is hurt right now, but he won't be all season. I'd rather give a camp invitee a non guaranteed contact until Marvin recovers.

Marvin Williams. Used correctly and cheaper, he becomes an invaluable piece. Marvin and Rush can be great role players on a title team.

There is no need to sign another player at this point. You want to keep a slot open for a mid-season trade when the Jazz can take another small contract and get another draft pick. I know he isn't a stretch 4 but I would like to see Evans play a little this year to up his value (none/low) so he can be a player included in a trade. I also want to see if he can play backup minutes on a consistent basis. When given time Jeremy has produced most of the time.

NBA has Biedrins as a combo PF/C. However that would require Go-Bear to be the primary back up the C spot, which I would like, but might get ugly at times.

Not that anyone cares, but:

Free agent Anthony Tolliver told me Lakers have entered mix as possible team for him & he visited Charlotte Monday
Tolliver said the Lakers recently called his agent, Larry Fox, to express interest. He said talks are still preliminary but he would have definite interest if the Lakers turn out to be a serious option.

“Obviously, to have a chance to play for a franchise like that, you’d have to think long and hard about that,’’ the forward told FOX Sports Florida.

Why? Favors views himself as a starting PF and backup center.

I think it really depends on personnel. I see the Jazz (eventually - as in next season) looking for a stretch-4 to work into the rotation. When Enes sits, Jazz bring in outside shooting at the 4 with Derrick sliding over to the 5. For this year, don't forget the Jazz have Evans at backup PF.
