Following potential 2014 draftees

I am starting to like players in my second tier just cause I don't think the jazz will get a top 5. rather be happy with who we get then disappointed in who we didn't.

that me motto: lower my expectations that way I am never disappointed.

@BTP
I think you missed the point of this.^

I don't think nickkk ever considered Randle because we already have favors.

This is him saying...

Hmm, maybe drafting Randle if he was best player available wouldn't be such a bad fit after all.

P.S. I don't like you BTP

This.

Honestly? You gotta stop changing your opinion EVERY SINGLE day. I'd understand it if there was college games when one day Harrison scores 30, the next day Jabari 25-12-5-5 and 3 and then the next day Wiggins goes for 45 with 65% from the floor. But w/o new footage just swapping your darling will make you look like you don't have one. You know my list is clear. I'm saying Wiggins is 99% #1, Randle is clear #2, Exum is my surprise #3 and Young is my cinderella top10 pick. Everybody will know it unless the pictures prove me wrong over the course of the season and I have to reassess.
But you've been pimping Wiggins, then you've been saying don't draft Wiggins, cause he'll want a big market or make Toronto one. At the same time it was Jabari taking over with the Mormon stigma who should be taken #1. Then Jabari was suddenly not athletic enough to be even an allstar. Next thing you know you wanna pair the Harrison twins. Couple days later you want to pair Gordon as SF next to Kanter and Favors. Like that's not enough suddenly Andrew Wiggins is the real thing again and you post his Senior highlights twice a day. Moving on from there you pimp Parker again, cause he's like Duncan and Pierce combined. Then again it's the Harrison twins again and now it's Julius Randle. I think you homered EVERY top prospect aside from Exum and Smart up to this point for multiple periods of the summer.

LOL... if I were a GM I wouldn't be "doing my job" if I somehow have a stigma against a certain player, or a group of players... I have to consider picking BPA - am I right?

Let's say we got the 3rd pick in the draft, both Wiggins and Jabari are gone - I can't just say - "OH BTW, I told BTP and the gang at JazzFanz I don't like Randle, so I'm sorry folks I'll just have to pass on him and take this other guy instead."

Talk about a monumental cluster****.

I was just exploring how a potential Favors, Kanter, Randle frontcourt would work if that possibility does arise...

This.

There is no one on this board I like poking fun at more than Nickkk, but your post was so far from a rational interpretation of his that I was forced to take his side.

Why would you do that to me?

You must be some sort of evil genius.

Now that I have officially stroked your ego, stfu.

Can anyone give me more info n Kristaps Porzingis? Here is a highlight vid for him:

Here is a write up from the U-18 gmaes this summer:

Porzingis was the best big-man prospect of the competition. He's very skinny, but has excellent size for his position. He also possesses long arms and big hands, with good athleticism. He’s really fluid and mobile for his height, but he definitely needs to bulk up.

Despite his height, he prefers to play on the wing, showing amazing body control and ball-handling skills, even if his frame causes him to lose balance after contact or when he tries to take position in the post. He can put the ball on the floor with confidence, easily blowing past centers and power forwards off the dribble. He has good hands and good outside shooting range, but he must improve on his offensive skills, particularly in the post.

Porzingis reminds some scouts of a taller Andrei Kirilenko. On the defensive side, he possesses great shot-blocking timing, averaging five per game during the tournament. Has the height of a center (if not the strength quite yet), and he moves like a guard. He finished the competition with 11.6 points and 10 rebounds.

Don't know much about him but he is already getting some minutes in the ACB at age 18 says alot. 6'11" player with hops, but if he has no IQ or shot could also be the next Jan Vesely.

@orangello: I've never heard about that Latvian guy. He didn't play more than garbage time yet in the ACB, but maybe that changes next years? He seems skilled, but is extremely skinny and undersized for his skill at 6'9". If he doesn't grow further I doubt he'll be any special. He seems too slow to play SF and for PF that's not an elite height.
Guess we'll know more when the Hoop Summit is done...

Btw: I found this linked on DX about the ACB. RIP!

I don't think he's Vesely. I think he's certainly worth following up on from time to time.

Thanks
