What's new

Following potential 2014 draftees

I think it's too early for an answer to that kkk. Anyone that is sure they know is just purely guessing.
I've watched Randle more than everyone here combined, I am certain. I love his game, his 'tude.. and think he'll be a monster.
Right now, though, without seeing him at even tye college level, its a toss up.

I do think we know what we have with Favors. I would say he's a 14/15pt 10/11rb guy with a defensive presence. Not shabby at all.
If I think Favors re-signs for $11mm... I probably stick with him..... but it's just too early to tell.

What would you say Andrew Harrison's ceiling is? Didn't you once compare him to D-Will?

Take my word for it..

We'll see...

I also like Andrew's repertoire of moves to get himself to the rim and finish or draw fouls when the clock is running down... I don't like how Dwill will look to pass or settle for that jumper...

Very rarely.. and he has to do a big run up most of the time using up lots and lots of energy.

It wasn't easy for him that's for sure.

He is quite impressive at times, especially given the fact he is a 200+ lb point guard.

I'm not saying he can't dunk it. All I'm saying is he needs to do a big run up to get that momentum going and he uses up a lot of energy... trying to carry 200+ lb body going airborne.

For the dunk to be an effective attacking tool, he really needs to be able to do it effortlessly without much timing & him expending too much energy doing it. Moreover, the dunk itself could be counter-productive if he gets tired or injured doing it (he already has a bad ankle).

It's funny that I've been trying to find (again) a particular video of Randle that shows his final two games of the season last year (state championship and semi's)... and just realized it was the 2nd post in this thread. It REALLY shows Randle's skillset across just two games.

interesting if the jazz were in position to draft Randle, Parker and wiggins off the board, I think a good coach would find a way to play kanter, favors and randle together. it might be creating a different offensive system and movement defensively. I think it could be done.

Could be done I suppose but Parker would be the better fit, I think. Looking forward to seeing some college bb. Mainly looking at;

Wiggins - dominance
Randle -can he play SF??? (I am not sure he even should)
Parker - how does his skillset stack up against more athletic/faster players
Gordon - overall skillset
AnHarrison - Poise
AaHarrison - can he play PG in the NBA
Young - does he have enough strength for the NBA
Kasey Hill - is he a value pick with the GSW pick
more I'm sure...
