alright, here's the skinny:
Jefferson:
Explained he was injured for a month last year, during that month GSW started winning w/ Harrison Barnes --only spot minutes afterwards. Locke made comparions of RJ to Hayward taking leadership roles with their teams in year 4, as well as having similar college #'s (neither were amazing scorers in college. RJ scored 12, hay was like 15 or something). RJ said he understands role with Jazz, seemed open to mentoring Hayward on how to be #1 option with other team's scouting plan targeting you.
Marvin
Talked about his struggles last yea, his injury, healing, etc. Said he'll play the 3 or stretch-4, or whatever Corbin decides for him. Talked about graduating college next year, ATL aquarium, blah blah blah.
Beidrins
Says he still has the double-double player in him and hopes to bring him out here. Weird interview, kind of looked like he could ry. Probably knows all too well the mean **** we all say about him.
Lucas
Talked about being a ball boy in the league when his dad was a coach, knowing DL, Baylor days. Talked about playing tennis, and planning to play some tennis w/ Hayward. Said Trey Burke is very receptive, and is listening to what the vets tell him, and then implementing it and asking questions. Talked about mentoring Rose, and how he is willing to do what he can w/ Burke. Jeremy came to table, Lucas talked about Jeremy dunking on him last year.
Evans
talked about improving his jumping...again. Locke was weird, called Jeremy out for being surly with him in past interview. Jeremy talked about loving Buffalo Wild Wings, Olive Garden, and then started naming downtown restaurants hoping he could get some free meals for naming them
Kanter
Child-like wonderment. Told stories about being w/ Malone, getting in crash, etc. Talked about shoulder and feeling good. Says he appreciates his past mentors of Al and Okur, but is ready now. Locke told him he thought he could post Randolph, Kevin Love kind of #'s in the future, Kanter glowed. Hayward came to table, and Kanter kind of deferred to him as the vet. Jokingly, but also a little seriously (his demeanor changed a little bit).
Hayward
Very serious, and kind of closed lip. Was very humble about his great improvements @ P3, said they could be better. Talked about being ready. Favors came to table. They talked about being ready for whatever, extended minutes, leadership, etc. Both were less jokey than other plays--very serious. Locke told story of running into Hayward @ Cedar Point amusement park while on vacation. Says Locke bought his family the pass to get to the front of the line ($50 a pop), but Hayward didn't do so for him and 3 buddies. Hayward said some of the lines were 4 hours long --kind of regrets it. Favors said Hay is crazy.
Favors
Serious. Said back problem from USA mini camp is fine. He says he is ready, and has been ready to lead team. Talked about buying a house in SLC, and how he bought his mom a house the year prior.
Burks
Quiet, confident, licking his lips a lot. Talked about his offseason and how he improved himself and got better (adding 6" to jump), etc. Said he was ready. Love this kid.
Clark
talked about not being drafted and not expecting to. Talked about summer league. Talked about befriending Gobert and going out to football games, breakfasts, playing video games, etc. w/ him.
Gobert
talked about being tall, and how he is not afraid to be tall.
Burke
talked about Spokane tweet. Deleting the tweet for Stockton. Talked about how much he learned, how he will react to broken screens (locke gave scenario), and not coming out shooting a lot of 3's. Said Stockton helped to understand that being a better passer will help him to be a better scorer. Poised and confident as usual.
Dennis Lindsey
Talked about free agents @ mini camp and expecting learning curves this season. Notable, he said team really likes Scott Machado, called him a pure point, and a pass-first, and seemed really high on him, and referred to his possible role as that of Jamaal Tinsley. Said Harris is an undersized PF who can really score the ball.
Rigby
blah blah blah. scoreboard. blah blah blah Millers. Blah blah blah Dennis. Blah blah blah.
